JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru conducted its first intercollegiate cultural fest “ADVAY 2K18” on 10th March 2018. The fest was inaugurated by a chief guest Dr. Manjunatha. B, Registrar, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research and Famous Cine Actor Mr. Nirup Bandari. Gathering was addressed by Mrs. Shilpa Palaksha, Cultural Co-ordinator, JSSCP, Mysuru. Chief guest of the event addressed the participants and wished the organisers a grand success. The Championship trophy was unveiled in the inauguration event. Dr. T.M Pramod Kumar, Prinicpal, JSS College of Pharmacy gave the opening comments. Mr. Puttarajappa S, Administrator officer was also present in the event and wished all the participants for the best performance. Dr. Naganandini, Cultural Co-ordinator JSSCP, Mysuru presented the vote of thanks. Total of 8 different events like group dance (Classical), group dance (Western), fusion dance, group song, Mad Ads, pharma quiz, GoT quiz and photography were conducted on that day. Thirteen colleges from Mysore, Bangalore, Manipal and Ooty participated in the different competitions. Fest provided a bigger platform for students to showcase, learn and exchange their cultural capabilities. All the events were judge by the professionals in the respective area. JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty won the overall championship trophy. The fest ended with a colourful and robostic performance by Apthamitra fame Vidhvan Sridhar Jain and his team who performed on the theme “Dances of India” followed by a good note by Dr.T.M Pramod Kumar. The whole event was well organised by the students and cultural co-ordinators under the guidance of Dr. R.S Chandan Cultural Co-ordinator JSSCP, Mysuru. We the cultural coordinators (faculty) and students of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru thank Principal, Administrative Officer of the college and JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru for their support and encouragement extended for conducting its first intercollegiate cultural fest “ADVAY 2K18”.
