The Department of Pharmacy Practice in collaboration with Pharmacy Education Unit, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Career Opportunities for Pharm.D Students” on 14th February 2018 at JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru. Mr. Tapan Kumar Shah, Country Head, Clinical Operations, AstraZeneca Pharma India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore delivered the guest lecture. The aim of this lecture was to provide the insights to Pharm.D students on different career opportunities for Pharm.D students after the successful completion of the course. Mr. Tapan explained about the career opportunities in the areas of Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Clinical Development and Clinical Operations. Also, he highlighted about the expected salary packages and career growth in each of these areas. Sixth and Fifth year Pharm.D students attended this lecture. With this lecture, students got an good understanding about different opportunities available for them to work after the successful completion of Pharm.D course.
