Department of Pharmacy Practice in association with Pharmacy Education Unit (PEU) of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru organized an User Orientation Session on ‘Micromedex’ on 24th September 2018 at Lecture Hall-2, JSS Hospital, Mysuru. Micromedex is an online software for evidence-based clinical decision support and referential content, real-time clinical surveillance, and patient education. Mr. Amarnath N, AVP – Sales & Marketing, Vans Scientific Information Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore was the speaker for the training program. The objective of this user orientation session was to stimulate the faculty and students of Department of Pharmacy Practice for effective usage of Micromedex software in their regular practice and research. Mr. Amarnath started lecture with introducing the Micromedex software and its implications in practice and research. After the presentation, Mr. Amarnath shown the live demo of searching information in Micromedex along with its newer features. Faculty and Students of Department of Pharmacy Practice and Librarian of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru attended this user orientation session. Students got an opportunity to interact with speaker and clarify their doubts in using Micromedex in smart phones.
