Health Screening Camp Conducted at Mysore City

Report on Health Screening Camp Conducted at Mysore City Department of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, in collaboration with Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Mysore Branch organized a Health Screening Camp for the benefit of public of Mysuru city on 10th December 2017 at four different locations Viz., Bal Bhavan, Chamundi Hills Footsteps, Kukkaralli Lake Gate and Lalith Mahal Gate between 06.00 AM and 09.00 AM. The aim of the health screening camp is to sensitize the people about the importance of regular monitoring of health and safe use of medications. During the camp, interested public were screened for blood pressure and blood glucose levels. In all four venues, a total of 358 people (Bal Bhavan: 87, Chamundi Hills Footsteps: 113, Lalith Mahal Gate:78 and Kukkaralli Lake Gate: 80) were monitored for their blood pressure and blood glucose levels. At the time of monitoring, 67 people were found with elevated blood glucose level and 83 people were found with elevated levels of blood pressure. People who were identified with the elevated levels of blood pressure and blood glucose levels were advised on Non-Pharmacological management and suggested to consult physician for further diagnosis & treatment.
