Hospital administrators or managers provide the non-medical backup services of general management, coordination, and post-operative care which are vital to the success and good reputation of hospitals and healthcare institutions. Non-medical healthcare professionals are required to inter alia devise organisation management systems; manage institutional finances; maintain buildings, premises, operation theatres, hospital rooms and wards; devise personnel management systems; purchase supplies and equipment; and supervise support services such as laundry, catering, cleaning, and transport. A health administrators functions varies according to his/her specialist skills and interests and the requirement of the institutions they serve.

The graduates passing from this course will be able to demonstrate adequate knowledge and mastery of techniques relevant to hospital management and/or to demonstrate a clear understanding of concepts, information, and techniques at the forefront of the hospital management discipline.

They would have a deep knowledge of the responsibilities of senior hospital management, including understanding the role and functions of hospitals and their health care context and prepare to handle the management and development issues faced by a hospital manager, including structure and organization; planning and managing resources; and reviewing and evaluating services. They would be able to recognize how operational problems and situations are handled in practice by undertaking and reporting at a hospital attachment. These management graduates can formulate ideas and develop and participate in implementation of plans for establishment and expansion of Hospitals.


Eligibility: All Health Professional Graduates or graduates with minimum of 3 years Experience of Working in a Hospital or Healthcare Setup/Unit OR Any other examination recognized by JSS AHER as equivalent there to.

Yes, it is an online learning program with online modules and no observership program. All you need is a laptop/ desktop/ tablet with a good internet connection.
