Entrepreneurship Awareness Program
JSS ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION & RESEARCH Institution Innovation Council (IIC) in association with SPARKLE CINE organized “Entrepreneurship Awareness Program" as a part of Entrepreneurship awareness series through SPARKLE CINE on 24th Aug 2019.
Mr. Nagendra R Setty, founder of “Ideas Unlimited” a company that churns out ideas to prototypes was the guest speaker. He has the experience in innovation as well as entrepreneurship of over 12 years and has contributed inn many fields like Defense Technologies, Robotics, Bionics, Electric Vehicles, Wearable Electronic Systems, Home and Industrial Automation, Functional Miniature systems and scale models.
Mr. Nagendra R Setty delivered lectures in two parts, first – he explained the journey of any idea from conception to prototyping that needs to be done before startup efforts. In the second half, he explained the strategic approach to take any proof of Concept (POC) to successful start up and progressive entrepreneurship.
Around 60 Participants attend the Entrepreneurship Awareness program. The participants consisted of Faculty, Scholars and students.
Outcomes
- Making the faculty and students realize the power of idea and explaining them what to do with a progressive academic conceptual idea to bring it to meaningful solution
- The case-based studying of journey of idea to start up made the participants understand the reasons for success and failures of any entrepreneurship efforts.
- Demonstration of developed models and proof of concepts by the guest speaker, that have been spun off to start-up gave them a realistic experience of workflow towards entrepreneurial efforts
- Two students have approached SPARKLE CINE seeking mentorship for their start-up idea.
- (One student: PG – JSS MC and another from MPharm – JSSCPM) – they have been guided for writing the idea as a proposal and to submit the Model canvas which will be considered for further mentoring
