The guest lecture on “Evolving role of liver biopsy” by Dr Dhanpath Jain Professor of Pathology, Yale School of Medicine, USA , organised by the department of pathology in association with JSS Medical College academic society held on 27.1.2020 at Sri Rajendra Centenary auditorium between 2.30PM to 5.30 PM was very informative and enlightened all the members participated. The sessions were moderated by Dr Nandeesh, Professor and HOD of Gastro enterology and Dr Sheeladevi C S Associate Professor of Pathology. We had faculty and post graduate students from Department of Pathology, Department of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine, Department of Paediatrics, Department of surgery and others, members from Mysore Pathologists association, faculty and post graduate students of MMCRI and Mandya medical College actively participating in the session. The talk was followed by a slide conference where rare cases from GI pathology and Liver Pathology were discussed. It was an interactive session with active participation from the audience. The event was a great success.
