As a part of the Indian Prosthodontic Society’s initiative the Department of Prosthodontics, JSS Dental College and Hospital, a constituent college of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research celebrated Prosthodontist day on 23 Jan 2023. Prosthodontist day was marked by educating and motivating the patients. Dr. Dhakshaini M R principal of JSSDCH gave the opening remarks and explained the significance of prosthodontics day. There was an educative talk by Dr. Meenakshi S on different types of dentures and the effective maintenance of denture hygiene. Dr. Anupama Aradya delivered tips on how to use the denture cleansing kit for the beneficiaries. Thirty needy and economically poor patients in the department were randomly chosen and sponsored with denture maintenance/ hygiene kits. An essay competition was conducted for IV BDS by Dr.Sowmya S and certificates were distributed to the winners. Dr.Raghavendra Swamy K N prof & HOD thanked everyone for the successful conduction of the event. The celebration concluded with light refreshments and snacks for patients, students, and staff of the department.
