Faculty Induction Programme was organised for the newly joined and faculty who are under probation.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) conducted a HALF DAY induction program on 27/02/2021 from 09.00 AM to 01.00 PM, at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium, JSS Hospital, Mysuru.

The Induction Programme for the newly joined Academic Staff, to familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted university teachers. It oriented them on JSS organisation, JSS AHER, JSSMC & Hospital and teaching-learning activities, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT enabled teaching learning, and equipped them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration, and patient care.

Dr Basavana Gowdappa H Principal, JSS Medical College welcomed the new faculties and dignitaries to the programme. He emphasised on the three important components for a faculty i.e., Teaching, Patient Care and Research.

Dr Manjunatha B Registrar, JSS AHER gave a glimpse on the development of our esteemed institution. Dr Kushalappa P. A Director (Academics) gave a brief intro on the JSS AHER development, credentials acquired and the vision and research strategies of JSS AHER.

Dr Suma M. N Vice Principal (Pre & Para) gave an insight about the facilities available at the JSS Medical College and Hospital. Dr Ravi M.D Professor, told the various roles played by a medical faculty like facilitator, planner, assessor, mentor role model etc.

Dr Madhu B Assistant Director (Research) talked about the impact of research on professional development of a faculty. She also enlightened about the grants available at the university and how to work in team to put forth the project.

Dr Ravindra R Chief Information Officer touched upon the three important areas for the faculty – pedagogy, profile and leave management etc. Dr Prashant M. Vishwanath IQAC Coordinator gave an insight about the various categories in the PBAS and its importance in the faculty development. Mr Satish Chandra S. R Administrative Officer emphasised that discipline and attitude is very important in a person. He also mentioned about the leave rules. Dr Sunil Kumar D IQAC Coordinator, JSS Medical College delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Vijaya Vageesh member of IQAC did the master ceremony of the program. Dr (Col) M. Dayananda Director, Dr Manjunath GV Dy Director & Vice Principal (Clinical), Dr Ghori S K and others were present in the event.
