Report on Participation in the ‘World Cancer Awareness Day’ Department of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, participated in the ‘World Cancer Awareness Day’ organised by the Kanasu Foundation(R.) in association with Suyog Hospital, Mysore and Amogh Developers on 4th February 2018. The aim of the event was to create an awareness amongst general public about the cancer and to encourage its prevention, early detection and treatment. As a part of the event, a marathon run (for about 10 km) was held starting from Office of the Deputy Commissioner enroute through Sri Jayachamaraja College of Engineering, Kukkarahalli Lake and culminated at University Oval Grounds. Around 30 students & faculty from Department of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore actively participated in the Marathon Run and were provided with certificate of participation. We thank Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru for their encouragement and continuous support in the participation in the said event.
