STUMAG – Student Wall Magazine The third edition of STUMAG was opened on 15th February 2020 STUMAG, the student’s wall magazine is to inform, engage, inspire and entertain a diverse readership including faculty, staff, students and other friends of stumag by presenting intimate, timely and honest portrait of the college. In originality of its conception in the excellence of its writing and visual presentation and in its commitment to accuracy, healthy discourse and additional balance, the wall magazine endeavours to reflect the values and the quality of the institution itself by maintaining the respect and interest of its readers. The Stumag aspires to ultimately inform their opinion of the college and strengthen their commitment to its welfare. Our third edition was themed Agape Seeking people's well being without expecting anything in return is the core concept of agape love. This theme was thus needed to be relevant in this present day scenario where everyone has different perspective when it comes to love. Thus with this motive our final edition was set up on valentine’s day to make everyone rethink about the basic essence of our survival in this world, Yes the selfless love that we receive from God. Our third and final edition was inaugurated by Dr Latha KC, Education Officer, SWRO-University Grant Commission (UGC), SWRO, Bengaluru in the esteemed presence of our beloved Principal Dr Pramod Kumar, Senthil Kumar M , Senior research scientist at Biocon BMS and R&D centre and Sujith Kumar S, Assistant Regional Manager at SCIEX . As the Bible says “Sweet words are like honeycomb sweet to the soul and healing to the bones”. This was how we felt when their kind words elated our works. The dedicated efforts of our viewers as well as the members were prevalent in this edition. English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada articles and other literary and Artworks from the students bestowed the stumag board and indeed synergised with the theme which we were focused on. The noval Corona virus outbreak, Australia’s wild fire crisis, other social confusions and chaos of this world has already reformed us into a melancholic state...This indeed was the reason why we choose a pleasant and floral element for the board. As the old adage says “What controls your mind consumes your life” True enough, the thoughts that pass-through your mind every day can greatly influence the way you live your life. We wanted the readers to understand that even if our circumstances don’t change, our perspective could make a great change. Best photography’s of our own students from the renowned photography club” Shutterbugs”, current events, medical updates and some of the inspiring stories of cancer survival patients were also a part of this edition. The tagline for the entire theme and the central element of the STUMAG board and the posters made for the same had an influence from the biblical term agape. Thus we believe that the themes which we have adopted for the first two editions have indeed found its true value in the third or final edition. All the three editions conveyed a different story and a deep look through will uncover the mystery for sure...!
