Beyond the syllabus an initiative by the Karnataka State Dental Council in association with JSS Dental College and Hospital, Department of Health System and Management Studies, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research to cater to the needs of the dental interns who might face challenges in their routine day to day practice. This workshop emphasized on strategic planning, management skills, sterilization, ethics, communication, and dental clinic planning.

Dr Shiva Sharan, DCI Member the chief guest for the event spoke on the various initiatives taken by the Dental Council on matters concerning ethics and management of private practice.

Dr. (Col) M. Dayananda Director JSS Hospital, Dean Department of Health System and Management Studies, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research applauded the work of the college on taking an initiative to educate the interns on these topics.

Dr Manjunatha B, Registrar JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research delivered the presidential address. Dr Raghunath N, Co-ordinator delivered the vote of thanks and was the coordinator for the event. This event was attended by 119 students including interns of Hassanamba Dental College Hassan, Coorg Institute of Dental Scinces Coorg and Farooquia Dental College, Mysuru.'
