CME on Skill development in clinical pharmacology – patient safety” was organized by the Department of Pharmacology on December 3rd 2019 at Dr.Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Auditorium, JSS Medical College, and Mysuru. Dr.H.Basavana Gowdappa, Principal, JSS Medical College, Dr.Padmaja Udaykumar, Vice Dean , Professor and Head of Dept of Pharmacology, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, Dr.M.N.Suma, Dr.G.V.Manjunath, Vice-Principals, JSSMC, Dr.M.K. Jayanthi, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Pharmacology and Dr.Kalathabharathi H.L., Asso.Prof. of Pharmacology inaugurated the programme. To assess the prior knowledge of the students on this topic a pre test was conducted. Scientific sessions were deliberated by Dr. Dr. Padmaja Udaykumar, Vice dean, Professor and Head of Dept of Pharmacology, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, Dr. Hema N.G. Professor of Pharmacology, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, Mysuru, Dr. Nalini G K, Professor and Head of Dept of pharmacology, Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan, Dr. Nicole Rosita Pereira, Assoc. Prof of Pharmacology, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore Following this a hands on session was conducted for students on routes of drug delivery using mannequins. The students were divided into different group, with each group having a teacher to demonstrate the procedures. The various routes were Intramuscular, Intradermal, Subcutaneous and Intravenous. Post test was conducted on the topics covered.
