'Guest lecture titled ‘Exploring Career Opportunities Abroad’ for the Intern students was held on 6th Sept 2018 at Smart Classroom by Dental Education Unit, JSSDCH, JSSAHER. Dr.Dileep Thomas, Consultant Orthodontist, Toronto, Canada who is the ALUMNI of JSSDCH Batch 1990

was the guest speaker. Dr.Sunila BS, Convener, Dental Education Unit introduced the speaker to the student’s, Principal Dr. Ravindra S welcomed the Guest Alumni.

Dr. Dileep presented an overview to ‘International Dentists Journey’ that comprised of guidelines and strategies regarding the Immigiration policy, funds and fee, structure of NBED certification exams, placements and programs for pursuing higher studies at Canada. Speaker emphasized the need and importance of building up student’s curriculum vitae with research projects, publications and paper presentations at conferences during their Undergraduate studies. Intern Students interacted with the speaker enthusiastically and clarified their doubts. Dr. Jaishankar, Secretary of Alumni Association JSSDCH and Dr. Sunila thanked the speaker for consenting with a short notice to spare his valuable time and to have shared his International experience for the benefit of our students. 32 Intern students participated and benefitted from this program.
