“Aspiration 2018” a Inter-Collegiate National Level Cultural Competitions, organized by PES College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru. Aspiration is an annual cultural competitions for students of Pharmacy colleges in Karnataka. It was held at PES University Auditorium, Bengaluru on 10th and 11th February, 2018 (2 day event). In the foresaid event, 20 colleges participated for 15 (Fifteen) cultural events; Solo dance, group dance, group song, street play, Quiz etc., 38 Students of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru had participated in Aspiration 2018, they competed for 13 cultural events (except for street play & face painting). Students of various class/ course showed interest in the cultural event. Our students had previously participated in Aspiration events, they have won “Overall Championship Trophy” for 5 times during the period 2008-2016 and Runner-up during 2017. This year our college students won 3 (Three) first prizes, 2 (Two) Second prizes and 1 (one) Third prize among the 13 (thirteen) events they participated; further, the “Overall Championship Trophy” was bagged by our College students for the record-breaking 6th time. Our college students had performed to their ability in the short notice of time and held the name of the college and university high in the competitions. The students were accompanied by Dr. R. S. Chandan and Dr. M N Naganandini, Assistant Professors of the college. “Aspiration 2018” was an event which gave experience of competing against students of other pharmacy colleges in Karnataka. We the cultural coordinators (faculty) and students of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru thank Principal, Administrative Officer of the college and JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru for their support and encouragement extended for participation of students in cultural events.
