JSS College of Pharmacy conducted the most awaited event of the year the cultural extravaganza Pharmafest “KALOPSIA” 2018 on 16th, 18th and 20th August 2018. This year the event came in a more transformed way adding more colours and enthusiasm. The fest included 20 on-stage and 21 off-stage events. The event brought out the hidden talents of the students of JSSCP, Mysuru. The fest was inaugurated by well known academician and a Management professional Ms. Pooja Joshi Igoor who was the chief guest of the event and Dr. T M Pramod Kumar, Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy was the President of the function. Mr. Puttarajappa. S, Administrator Officer, JSSCP, Mysuru also presided the function. The session started with welcome address by Mrs. Shilpa Palaksha cultural coordinator. Chief guest and President of the function addressed the students and wished them success. Dr. Chandan R S, cultural co-ordinator presented opening comments. The overall championship trophy and other prizes were unveiled by our guests. Dr. Naganandini presented the vote of thanks. The three day event was well co-ordinated by the members of Institutional Pharmaceutical Society (IPS) with the help and support of the Principal, the cultural coordinators, the staff and other fellow students. The event involved not only the participation of students but the staff as well. It included a wide range of events from singing and dancing, debate, face painting, nail art, pot painting, quiz, mime to cooking competitions and other events showcasing the artistic and creative abilities of the students. The students found it an opportunity to bring out their talents and competitive spirits by enthusiastically participating in different programmes. The most important events were judged by professionals invited from esteemed organisations. The best dressed student and staff were presented with Ms and Mr Ethnic award. The fest was winded up by a valedictory function where everyone expressed their gratitude to each and everyone who made the event an absolute success. The three day cultural extravaganza ended with a DJ night and grand gala dinner.
