The most awaited event of the year “Cultural Premier League – 2018” was conducted for the First time in the History of JSS College of Pharmacy, on 15th October, 2018. The Inaugural Edition of CPL 2K18 started with grouping of the teams by auction process which was held from 3rd to 5th October, 2018. All the eight teams were led by two owners (Staff) and one captain (Student). All the eight teams participated in all the events with full involvement and enthusiasm. CPL 2K18 included 07 on-stage and 04 off-stage events. The event brought out the transformation of talents among the students. CPL 2K18 was inaugurated by Sri. M M Nikhilesh, Founder and CEO of Kalisu Foundation, (an organization working to improve the quality of education in Government and rural schools) who was the chief guest of the event and Mr. Puttarajappa. S, Administrator Officer, JSSCP, Mysuru presided the function. The event started with welcome address by Dr. Chandan R S, CoChairman, CPL. Chief guest of the function addressed the students and wished them success. The overall championship trophy and other prizes were unveiled by our guests. New Year calendar of CPL 2019 was released by the chief guest followed by Oath taking from all the owners and team members for fair play of the event. Dr. Chandan R S, Co-Chairman, CPL presented the vote of thanks. The event was well co-ordinated by the members of Institutional Pharmaceutical Society (IPS) with the help and support of the Chairman – CPL (Principal) and Co-Chairman – CPL (Dr. Chandan R S and Mr. Mahendran B). The event involved not only the participation of students but the staff as well. It included a wide range of events from singing and dancing, face painting, quiz competitions and other events showcasing the artistic and creative abilities of the staffs & students. The students found it as an opportunity to transform their talents among seniors and juniors and to build a team to participate in different programmes enthusiastically. All the events were judged by professionals invited from esteemed organisations. The fest was winded up by a valedictory function where everyone expressed their gratitude to each and everyone who made the event an absolute success. We the Co-Chairman – CPL (Dr. Chandan R S and Mr. Mahendran B) and students of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru thank Principal, Administrative Officer of the college and JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru for their support and encouragement for conducting the Inaugural edition of CPL 2K18.
