Report on Guest Lecture Series on Clinical Trials A series of guest lectures were conducted by Department of Pharmacy Practice in the area of clinical trials from 19th-21st October 2017. The aim of this series of lectures was to provide an in-depth understanding and exposure to some of the essential procedures and regulations of clinical trials to post graduate pharmacy practice students. These lectures were delivered by Mr. Tapankumar Shah, Country Head, Clinical Operations, AstraZeneca Pharma India Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore. Mr. Shah covered various areas of clinical trials which included guidelines for preparation of various clinical trial documents, clinical trial start up activities, investigational products, filling procedures and clinical trial monitoring & auditing process. These lectures also included group discussion and brain storming sessions on some of the global and local challenges in conduct of clinical trials. All the post graduate students had a great opportunity to interact with speaker and clarify their uncertainty on many aspects pertaining to processes and regulations of clinical trials. These lectures were coordinated by Mr. Himanshu Patel, Asst. Professor, and Department of Pharmacy Practice. The details of the series of guest lectures presented are as follows.
