Department of Pharmacy Practice in association with Pharmacy Education Unit (PEU) of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru organized a Guest Lecture on ‘The Drug Development Process’ on 17th November 2018 at Seminar Hall, Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru. Ms. Mallika, Senior Drug Safety Associate, Bioclinica, Mysuru was the speaker. The guest lecture was organised with an objective to make the participants understand the various stages of drug development process. During the guest lecture, Ms. Mallika briefed the participants about various aspects of drug development process. She emphasized on different phases of clinical trials with operational parameters, importance of protocols and their development and implementation, informed consent forms and its importance, and technical aspects pertaining to the reporting of Serious Adverse Event (SAE). Students of Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance and the staff of the Department of Pharmacy Practice attended the guest lecture. At the end of the session, participants interacted with the speaker to clear their doubts pertaining to the topic addressed.
