A guest lecture on “Identification of P-Glycoprotein in Human and Rabbit Cornea and Its role in Restricting Ocular Drug Absorption” was held on 5th December 2019 from 10.00 pm to 11.00 am at seminar hall, JSS college of pharmacy, Mysuru. This lecture was especially organized for the M.Pharm., and Ph.D. students. The Speaker for the lecture was Dr. Surajit Day, Associate Professor, Roseman University of Health Science, Las Vegas, USA. Dr. T.M. Promod Kumar, Principal, JSSCP, Musuru, felicitated Dr. Surajit Day for the Guest Lecture. Dr. Vikas Jain, introduced the speaker and the topic of the lecture to the students. Dr. Surajit Day gave insight on Identification of P-Glycoprotein in Human and Rabbit Cornea. He had delivered a highly impressive and detailed lecture covering following topics: ? Anatomy of eye ? Challenges in ocular drug delivery ? Detailed research data related to in vivo absorption data of P-gp in the cornea. ? Future aspect for designing of better ocular drug delivery system to bypass P-gp for better management of ocular diseases. All the Students and faculties, who were present over there gave positive feedback and expressed their thanks for this wonderful lecture. Dr. Vikas Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, JSSCP, Mysuru with some motivational words finally delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the guest lecture.
