Our training batch was only with five participants having different specialized field and experience. As per the Training Schedule, it was from 23.7.2018 to 27.7.2018. The Time Table was made with Date/Day, Topic , and Faculty. Most of the day schedule was with Theory, discussion and Presentation. Second Half was with practices, Demonstration or Practical aspect. First day started with Visit to the CFTRI Showcase, wherein, we have been made aware of the entire CFTRI structure, activities, and Research Areas and important Developmental aspects on Food. Thereafter, we have been thought on Animal Models in conducting experiments with different Techniques. Demonstrations on Animal handling, D3 in Cancer biology, Breeding and colony management were interesting. During the Training schedule, we were also explained and thought on Mycotoxins in food/feed, Cell Culture, Gene Expression techniques. Animal models in diabetic research, Toxicological studies, IgY Production, isolation and assay, cell culture, Health Monitoring Lab were also thought and explained with demonstration. Demonstration and practical handling of animals for conducting experiment procedure, was really appreciable and each one of the participants were given experimental animals i.e. Rats, and mouse to handle and keep ready for procedure. Apart from the above, we were taught and made aware of the Regulatory authorities on Animal Experiments. Nutrition and feeding of Lab Animals, Histological techniques. We were also taken to different Labs and departments in order to show us, the practical aspects and research activities. Under exposure schedule, we have visited M/s Vipragen Bioscience Research Pvt Ltd, Mysore, wherein we have visited Animal House Facility and other infrastructure. In fact the above exposure and experience of the Training was really amazing and very informative to learn on the subjects. Apart from this, we had very good hospitality and Socialization with friends and other training batch of Food Production and Packaging. All the faculties, staff, Research Associates were very encouraging, supportive and answers all our questions and clarifies all doubt. Training was very good and very informative. I would like to inform that, I wish to practice the training knowledge with the support of my HOD and other technical staff at this College.
