Workshop on “Hands on training on Temperature and Humidity Mapping was organized on 10th October, 2018, by the department of Pharmaceutics for M. Pharm students. Mr.Hemanth Kumar S. Lecturer Department of Pharmaceutics welcomed the resource persons. Mr. Hemanth Kumar, Quality Manager, Incepbio, Bangalore. He briefed about importance of Design qualification (DQ), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ). He explained qualifications of data loggers used in pharmaceutical industries for temperature and humidity mapping. He also emphasized on importance of calibration and validation in the pharmaceutical industries. He briefed about change control measures, deviations, guidelines by NABL, CFR, ICH and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). Their team demonstrated temperature and humidity mapping equipment and its working procedure using hot air oven and working area with the help of their technical team Mr. Anand and Mr. Ramesh. They also gave hands-on training for all the participants on handling wireless data loggers and the software to program the loggers and also created awareness of the latest trends in the technology of temperature mapping and convenience of digital means to monitor the same. 39 Students of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Analysis and 4 Faculty members attended and were benefited from the workshop.
