MHRD Innovation cell had organised Webinar on “INDIA’S FIRST LEADERSHIP TALK”. The resource person of the webinar was Shri. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra group. The program began with an introduction of resource person by Dr. Abhay Jere, a Chief innovation officer, MHRD, Govt. of India. Shri. Anand Mahindra, expressed that, Innovation in an organisation depends on the leader of the organisation and how the idea being fostered. Usually leaders will have an idea and captivate it, however the ownership of the idea belongs to the followers. Innovation is not Jugad, but should be Jakaas, innovation usually comes from disruptive techniques, and usually innovators are also entrepreneurs. Leadership in innovation comes from self-awareness, transformational and translational leadership quality. He opined that an innovator should know himself and what is his/her appetite or what gives him/her happiness. He also mentioned that world is moving from competition to collaboration, therefore it becomes all the more necessary to collaborate to compete. 34 research scholars, staffs and students were benefited from the webinar.
